U16 Pioneers lose to Manchester Magic in National semi-final

It was a great day of basketball. The U16 Team travelled up to Sheffield Friday afternoon and were tucked up in bed early, ready for Saturday's games. The semi-final game was against Manchester Magic at 10.00 am. Always behind the Pioneers gave up more and more of a lead to the Magic. Half-way through the 4th quarter the Pioneers switched to a trap defenCe and started to claw back points in dramatic style. However time was on Magic's side and in the end they won the game by 11 points. The team were very disappointed, full of what-ifs and self analysis - but the final word was that they played well and more importantly with a great attitude. Now they had to be ready to play Sheffield Sharks for the 3rd place play-off in 2 hours time.[video]
