Pioneers get a Third Star

While The Pioneers have never looked to measure itself by what other do, say or judge, its nice to know once in a while that we do meet some of the requirements of the National Governing Body to be a Basketball club! But don't think the Pioneers will be sitting back now and enjoying this status - oh no! We've only just begun! This coming season is a great example, as now we will have over 12 teams playing, including a Mens team and a second Girls team - So that's enough chit-chat - back to work!

New Season Registration

Its important that all players register for the new season. If you have registered before, then you will need to sign in and validate your emergency contact details. All new players must register, you will then receive a confirmation email which will have instructions on how to complete emergency contact details. Please go to the Pioneer Registration page and follow the instructions there.

U16 Girls Win Camden Tournament

What a way to start the season! Since the 2nd August Coach Michelle Brown has been working with the Pioneers U16 Girls Team that will be playing in England Basketball National League South for the 2010-2011 season. Last wednesday the Team had their first chance to gauge the progress of all their hard work at a Basketball Tournament in Tufnell Park. After a day of Basketball the Pioneers were in the final against Camden. The Final tipped off at 3.30pm and was two 7-minute halves with a running clock. It was a close game and, of course, exciting and won in the end by the Pioneers 13-11. Well done Pioneers!

Pioneer Elite Camp Starts this week

Next week at Little Venice Sports Centre The Pioneers will host their first Elite Camp. Jeff Trumbauer and Erik Olson from USA will run the camp Tuesday through Friday with Monday being run by our own Pioneer Coaches.
